11° Edition Religion Today Film Festival THIS YEAR'S THEME:"The Face of the Other". Listening, sharing, comparing, supporting, in other words, "loving one another", for Religion Today means neither confusing nor merging with the person loved. For the 2008 edition, the festival invites us to undertake a two-level journey of discovery of conscience, encounter and mutual comprehension.

"The erect position, resulting from slow evolution, permitted man to stand face to face with his fellow man. Thus he encountered the face of the other. But the supine position he assumes when asleep, surrendering himself to on high - unlike animals that curl up - has also enabled him to come face to face with heaven. And in the boundless abyss of darkness, he began to search for a mysterious face, that of the Other, with the inner desire to be able to meet, or at least understand Him. If others, although different, are made in His likeness, maybe there is a common face to which we all bear a resemblance, from whom we originated and will ultimately return?"
