MORE THAN 300 SUBMISSIONS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR A FESTIVAL ABOUT "CHANGE"

More than 300 films, including documentaries, short films and feature films, have been submitted to the 17th Religion Today Film Festival, which will take place from 10 to 21 October 2014 in Trento and other Italian cities.

The submitted works, sent from 45 countries all over the the world, from Europe to the Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, UK), from Australia to the Americas (Canada, Peru, USA, Venezuela), from Africa (Ethiopia, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia) to Asia (Bangladesh, Burma, Philippines, Japan, India , Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand), and with a particularly significant participation from the Middle East (Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, Israel), are now under consideration by the Festival selection committee, which will define the nominations for the international competition and the special sections of the next edition.

In this great variety and wealth of contents and cinematic languages, it will be this year’s theme - "CHANGE! Religions and Society" - the common thread of a Festival that aims, more than ever, at focusing on the cultural, religious and social tranformation that people and communities are facing with a special attention to current trends.
