Yvan, Gora and Bouacar came to Italy thinking of changing their lifes and setting aside some money to support their families in Africa. For years now they have been living in a state of semi-slavery in Rignano Garganico, not far from the pilgrims who visit the shrine of Padre Pio. “Santi Caporali” portrays the daily struggle between foremen and foreign laborers, the void of politics and the activities of associations and parishes fighting this scourge which is generally kept secret with macabre indifference.
