In Southern China, Yunnan, in the foothills of Tibet, live the Mosuo people, a Chinese ethnic minority with a matriarcal socio-familial organisation. Despite converting to Budhism in the XIX century, they have never have never renounced their primitive shamanic religion, the dabaism, and they still worship the Nature which is perceived as all-female. The documentary shows the various aspects of life of a population of about 40,000 people living in peace and harmony with each other and with the environment.
