Bruno, in his thirties, goes back to the landscapes of his childhood in search of the Black Lake. Hit by an incurable disease, he is looking for a last light. Through diffracted storytelling, Jean-Baptiste Germain explores a theme haunting him : what remains, in a materialistic and often dehumanized world, of our beliefs, which here take different forms - trust with each other, the belief in a mystical elsewhere, faith in a possible redemption, and, finally, the belief in the illusion of cinema.
